We're so far between fashion weeks and we're missing all the buzz and excitement of the new collection. And although it's warming up outside and it's hard to think of winter headwear right now, we're going to take a moment to look back at FW17 and our favorite hats and headpieces from the runway shows.
We absolutely must begin with the UH-MAZING faux fur at Miu Miu. Just when we thought faux fur was on the way out Mrs Prada comes up with a mind-boggling collection of new shapes, colors and textures. We would like one of each please
Having first travelled to France on student exchange in the 90s we're super excited to see the long-awaited come-back of the beret at Dior in sleek black leather
One of the most wearable hat collections we saw was at Samuji, one of our favorite designers. We love the re-worked proportions of their beret and large felt hats which strike a nice balance with their architectural outerwear and over-sized knits
And, of course, perhaps the most headline-grabbing hats on any runway were the re-imagined cloches at Marc Jacobs. A cloche was both the first hat we ever bought and the first we ever made so to say we have a soft-spot for them is an understatement!
